For those who must pay a fee for the card, the credit available for purchases actually isn’t as much as $300, at least not at the start. Your annual fee is charged to the card at the outset, and so reduces your available credit by $75, depending on the fee you’re charged for your first year with the card. Indigo makes no mention of any increases to its limit. Those other cards also specify if and how the limit might be raised over time, provided you make payments on time and don't carry a balance. That’s a notably low and firm number, given that some other unsecured cards aimed at those with credit challenges offer initial limits of between $300 and $1,000. Requires No Security Deposit: Since traditional (unsecured) credit cards are largely unavailable to people with poor credit or no credit history, such consumers typically have turned to a secured card these require a security deposit that also serves as the card’s credit limit.That's the only time I've ever had a financial institution say "is her address XYZ and her SSN xyz? I'm assuming the check mailed won't arrive on time for input even with overnight tracking. Another thing to be aware of is she gave him my information to verify with a yes or no instead of having me give it to her. That appear to be intentional on behalf Indigo. Thankfully the paper trail is clear via both websites but I've never worked so hard to give a company money and been blamed for electronic malfunctions. She says we're lying and have made no payments. She told him it's my fault for giving the wrong account information that somehow linked and held the payment transaction all week before Indigo reversed it. ![]() I had my husband sit in on the call as witness. It's almost due and after several calls, the CSR who is very difficult to understand as an ESL, explained it's because they have no banking information. Called and emailed copy of voided check provided by my CU and they can't use the information. Made another payment successfully linking my credit union. I called to make the payment and they refused to accept because the card wasn't activated. They immediately reported $75 balance to credit bureau. Really!?! I will never open another account with them again and will highly encourage anyone to think twice before opening an account with this SHADY company! If I could rate them zero stars, I would have! Stay FAR away! What?!? I never knew anything was returned! They just closed my card without speaking with me! They were very sorry, but there was nothing they could do. I call customer service and am told that my account was closed! They said that two of my payments were declined and returned, so their policy is to close the account. So, I go to use my card and it gets declined. After trying several more times, I was finally able to log in after changing my password over 10 times! I scheduled the 3rd payment. Tried again, received the same error message as above. Went back a few days later and checked again to make sure it was scheduled. Signed on later, and it appeared as if it took my payment. Received the following message, "Unable to sign on portal to pay bill." Tried reaching customer service and couldn't. Stay far away from this credit card! I opened my account 2 months ago. ![]()
